Happy New Year!

A New Year...something to celebrate, reflect and refocus.  Every 365 days we are asked to change the number at the end of our year....time marching on.  Forward movement...that is what we do.  So many times we choose to fall into the 'resolution' circuit.  What are we going to change about ourselves?  I read an intersting article that suggested that instead of what to do to change yourself...work on 'being' yourself.  We work very hard day in and day out being a different person than who we really are.  We work so hard on that because how many of us really know the person we are....really know.  When is the last time you sat down with yourself and really got quiet enough to realize how you are feeling.  What spaces in your life need nurtured...developed...left alone.  Many times we may encourage change where change is not needed.

Sitting down and listing out what is important, our values, is a technique that opens our eyes to endless possibilites of change, needed change.  Base your resolutions on what is important to that person inside, who you really are.  Being yourself, your authentic self, is probably one of the biggest challenges we will ever take up.

So many times we go through some rough road and look at it as a slowing down of the forward moving process....when rough times, times when we feel the wind has been stripped out of our sails, are truly the times that we become even closer to who we really are.  The person inside is forced to 'step up' and be strong...pushing through tough times is when we can really see our authentic self reveal itself.

Part of finding that authentic spirit inside is to step up to challenges.  Not choosing from what is defined as good or bad by us or our friends...but by choosing from the good place of complete naturalness.  How do you get there....all I can say is...you will know when you get there.  It is truly a process...one that is constantly different and changing.  That is just what this journey on this earth is like.  The sooner we accept and roll with it....the sooner we will become aquainted with the authentic self we all have.

Our wish for you for 2011 is to become more aquainted with your authentic self....be truly who you are...deep inside.....let your spirit, your soul lead you on your road to resolution.

As the Holiday Approaches…

Only eight days until Christmas.  How are you going to spend the next few days before Christmas?  How about making the choice for the these days before Christmas to be relaxed…there may be plenty to do but you can choose to detach from the stress that is usually associated with last minute plans and things that need to be done.  Approach each task on your list with fun energy…change any anxious feeling to fresh new found energy!!

Then think about, what things really NEED to be done.  Just because your house is spotless every year for the Christmas Season…does not mean that this year you can leave out scrubbing the entire floors in your home on your hands and knees….I know how we are on ourselves….if things are not at our standard of ‘perfect’ we are not happy or worse feel that we have failed at being prepared.  Really…do you think that anyone will notice if every part of your home is not cleaned to the nth degree??  Typically your home is more in need of cleaning AFTER the family/friend gathering!!!  Right??

Leave some of the cleaning for afterward…when your house may really need the extra TLC!!

Give some thought to whatever may add some stress to you at this time of year…consider if it may be something that you can let go of this year.  Just consider not letting it stress you out just this year….it may surprise you to find that no one misses or even realizes that you did not get the task done…whatever it may be.

We wish you a Blessed Holiday Season…however you and your family celebrate this time of year….we wish you peace, happiness and relaxation!!

"Don't Be Afraid to admit you were Wrong...

...It's like saying you're wiser today than you were yesterday." (It's Just a Thought....But It Could Change Your Life by John Maxwell).

Why is it that we have such a difficult time admitting we are wrong.  I remember Carolyn Myss telling a story on one of her audio productions I was listening to...she tells about a friend of hers driving somewhere and Carolyn realized they were going the wrong way....in the wrong direction....away from where they were wanting to go....she pointed it out to the friend and the friend COULD NOT admit they were wrong and continued in the wrong direction!!  How can you ever get where you want to be if you can't admit that you could be wrong.  Looking at things in a different way not only sheds new light...but gives us the perspective that may reveal answers we have been looking for.

We learn from taking action....using knowledge we gather along the way and that INCLUDES making decisions that may not be right...yes that means that you are WRONG!!!  That first admission of being wrong really hurts the ego....but as you realize that it really does not hurt that much....and see the respect others have for you.....admission of being wrong is actually refreshing.  Admitting being wrong gives us the 'real' factor to others....everyone DOES make mistakes....everyone IS wrong many times in their lives.  So admitting it makes us more human....more approachable....more loveable!!  :)

Wayne Dyer's describes ego as Edging God Out...interesting huh?  Let's practice letting that higher universal energy IN....practice being humble....admit that we are wrong....accept others thoughts in a loving manner....

Enjoy your life....one moment at a time....be safe during this cold, busy season.  Love to all,

Thanksgiving!

Giving thanks is such an important part of our life.  I don't think people realize the power of gratitude.  There are times I wake in the middle of the night....toss around....wonder if I am going to get back to sleep....then I start to list the things I am grateful for.....before I know it I am waking in the morning, rested and ready for my new day.  Gratitude is truly a fix all.  When you find yourself looking at a situation and feeling some negative emotion....put the grateful factor to work....turn the situation.  Turn it around.  There may not be a reason for much of what happens to us....but there is a way to look at things, even if it is just plain acceptance....because some things just are....it is what it is.  Acceptance, Gratitude.....it works.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone....

"When who you are....

aligns with what you do and how you do it, success is yours." ~Bruce D Schneider
Success...is yours.  So how do you know that you are aligned?  What gives you that feeling of alignment?  That is different for each and everyone of us.  Feeling in alignment is being at peace with decisions you make throughout the day.  We make so many decisions every day...starting with "should I get up now"....on nights that we may have trouble sleeping...we need to make the decision whether we should get up or continue to concentrate on getting more sleep.  We have to decide what to eat and drink every day.  Our lives are full of constant decisions, sometimes we are ok with our choices and other times we know that we should go in a different direction.

Being ok with the decisions we make on a daily basis is a healthy state of mind to be in.  When we are feeling good about our decisions the emotions running through us are feeding us in a good way.  It is when we are constantly questioning our decisions that the feeling of out of line can set in...that something just isn't right.  AND that is when our body may feel the need to go into the dis-ease mode.  When we ignore the messages our body is giving us....just shoving that 'something is not right' feeling down and ignoring it....our body fights back with being out of ease in the form of dis-ease.

The goal is to take time to listen to what the body is saying when we make our daily decisions.  It is the 'gut feeling' we are talking about.  When you are making decisions along through your day.... you know that feeling..... when your 'gut' tells you....maybe you should be doing it a different way...making a different choice.  LISTEN to your gut.

When you start to listen....you will feel the alignment.....it will be the right thing.  Have a great day....become a follower of our blog.....and surprise me and make a comment!!!!  Best to all of you!  :)

Each Moment...

iPEC principle...."Each Moment Describes Who You Are, and Give You the Opportunity to Decide if That's who You Want to Be.

Wow....so we do have the opportunity to change things...make our life what we want it to be.  So there is really never really a 'right' way to do something...it is just the way we live out our reality in the moment...doing the best we can do in the moment we are in.  Our life is a journey...one that takes turns..goes up hills and coasts down hills.  We have to judge by the process not by whether or not we reach a certain goal.  So we are going to finish college....get married....have a child....go for a promotion and we don't get there...failure????  No, it is what we learned in the valued journey of the process...that is the gift we have....it is the process.....should the goal be 'enjoy the process of life'?

So much of what we put ourselves through is the process of not reaching a goal we have set....but we need to sit back and realize what value we gained through the journey of the process....what we learned, the contacts we made in the process...the lives that were touched in the process of journeying toward the goal.

Each moment we decide who we want to be....maybe that changes moment to moment...and you know ..that is OK.

Friend or Foe???

iPEC Foundation Principle....There are no mistakes.

"If we treated our friends like we treat ourselves, we'd all go to jail."  -  Unknown

Really...there are no mistakes?  Well, honestly, don't you always make the best choice for yourself at the time?  When we are in any given situation...depending on the time of day, stress level, time restraints and a million other factors, we do indeed make the best decision we can at the time.  In looking back on some decisions, we may believe it was a 'mistake' to take that action....but In All Reality...we were just doing the best we could at the time.  Every moment of every day we are at a different energy level, dealing with a different aspect of life!

Sometimes we make decisions based on what happened last year, or what the consequence was when I was a child.....all based on our belief system....assuming that we know how things will turn out.  So many times, if we just listen to that little adventurous voice inside that says something like...'try it this way this time' or 'it did not work last time...do it differently'....  But we are tugged by the 'critic' voice inside that says...."It has always been done that way.....do it that way again".

Part of the 'there are no mistakes' life is to step out of that old box and intend to react differently...shed a new light on an old issue....that old issue will CHANGE!

One of my favorite quotes is...."When you change the way you look at things...the things you look at change" - Wayne Dyer

Based on that thought process.....change things up...do some things differently.  I am not suggesting that you upset your entire life's applecart....just do something small in a different way.  Change up your morning routine slightly.   You may find a more relaxed way to start your day out.  Add a different exercise into your fitness routine....do something in your life differently everyday.  Some of the changes may not appeal to you....but what if they do .....try it!!!

Why Worry??

Worry can easily be an overwhelming experience for all of us.  But Why Worry?  Usually the content of the thoughts that lead us to worry is something that has not yet happened.  It is, in all reality, just things that we anticipate MAY happen.  This process uses so much energy and usually stirs up negative emotion within our bodies.  Unfortunately, the negative emotion in our body leads to disease.

Changing the thought process to what may happen that is good will change the feelings we have and heighten not only our mood but the feeling inside will be lighter and healthier for us.  When we go to the 'worry' angle...we are setting ourselves up for a journey that is unnecesarry...  Instead, look at what is going on and decide how it could be turned around for the better.  Look at all the circumstances and start to formulate a plan of solution.  Do not focus on the problem....focus on the solution!  This process will change the entire mood around the situation.  Not to take away from some pretty serious stuff we have going on in our lives, but approaching any matter in a more positive manner will lighten the load....even the most grave of events.

In All Reality Coaching teaches techniques to get you through the tough times and tools to move forward.  Worry is something that will always have to be dealt with...let's do it in a more productive/constructive manner!  Right?!  Yes, less worry more positive thoughts putting us in a a forward motion.
