Happy New Year!
Sitting down and listing out what is important, our values, is a technique that opens our eyes to endless possibilites of change, needed change. Base your resolutions on what is important to that person inside, who you really are. Being yourself, your authentic self, is probably one of the biggest challenges we will ever take up.
So many times we go through some rough road and look at it as a slowing down of the forward moving process....when rough times, times when we feel the wind has been stripped out of our sails, are truly the times that we become even closer to who we really are. The person inside is forced to 'step up' and be strong...pushing through tough times is when we can really see our authentic self reveal itself.
Part of finding that authentic spirit inside is to step up to challenges. Not choosing from what is defined as good or bad by us or our friends...but by choosing from the good place of complete naturalness. How do you get there....all I can say is...you will know when you get there. It is truly a process...one that is constantly different and changing. That is just what this journey on this earth is like. The sooner we accept and roll with it....the sooner we will become aquainted with the authentic self we all have.
Our wish for you for 2011 is to become more aquainted with your authentic self....be truly who you are...deep inside.....let your spirit, your soul lead you on your road to resolution.

As the Holiday Approaches…
Only eight days until Christmas. How are you going to spend the next few days before Christmas? How about making the choice for the these days before Christmas to be relaxed…there may be plenty to do but you can choose to detach from the stress that is usually associated with last minute plans and things that need to be done. Approach each task on your list with fun energy…change any anxious feeling to fresh new found energy!!
Then think about, what things really NEED to be done. Just because your house is spotless every year for the Christmas Season…does not mean that this year you can leave out scrubbing the entire floors in your home on your hands and knees….I know how we are on ourselves….if things are not at our standard of ‘perfect’ we are not happy or worse feel that we have failed at being prepared. Really…do you think that anyone will notice if every part of your home is not cleaned to the nth degree?? Typically your home is more in need of cleaning AFTER the family/friend gathering!!! Right??
Leave some of the cleaning for afterward…when your house may really need the extra TLC!!
Give some thought to whatever may add some stress to you at this time of year…consider if it may be something that you can let go of this year. Just consider not letting it stress you out just this year….it may surprise you to find that no one misses or even realizes that you did not get the task done…whatever it may be.
We wish you a Blessed Holiday Season…however you and your family celebrate this time of year….we wish you peace, happiness and relaxation!!

"Don't Be Afraid to admit you were Wrong...
Why is it that we have such a difficult time admitting we are wrong. I remember Carolyn Myss telling a story on one of her audio productions I was listening to...she tells about a friend of hers driving somewhere and Carolyn realized they were going the wrong way....in the wrong direction....away from where they were wanting to go....she pointed it out to the friend and the friend COULD NOT admit they were wrong and continued in the wrong direction!! How can you ever get where you want to be if you can't admit that you could be wrong. Looking at things in a different way not only sheds new light...but gives us the perspective that may reveal answers we have been looking for.
We learn from taking action....using knowledge we gather along the way and that INCLUDES making decisions that may not be right...yes that means that you are WRONG!!! That first admission of being wrong really hurts the ego....but as you realize that it really does not hurt that much....and see the respect others have for you.....admission of being wrong is actually refreshing. Admitting being wrong gives us the 'real' factor to others....everyone DOES make mistakes....everyone IS wrong many times in their lives. So admitting it makes us more human....more approachable....more loveable!! :)
Wayne Dyer's describes ego as Edging God Out...interesting huh? Let's practice letting that higher universal energy IN....practice being humble....admit that we are wrong....accept others thoughts in a loving manner....
Enjoy your life....one moment at a time....be safe during this cold, busy season. Love to all,
