Allowing....
How does it feel to say...I want? Somehow it seems to get the feeling of commitment...work...focus...almost a feeling of lack.
How does it feel to say ....I allow? Seems to take the pressure off of things.
That is what I want to feel through in this writing....the difference one can feel when you want things in your life vs 'allowing' the things you want to happen.
We put too many time frames on when and how things should happen in our lives....let them happen as they will....in universal time. Patience....what the heck is that? It is definitely something we need to learn to allow for in our lifetime!
Allowing can also mean being flexible in our thinking and actions. I watched the other day as my grandson was excitedly eating a freezer pop that his mom was so patiently giving him little pieces at a time. On occasion he would drop a piece of that freezer pop on the floor. He would literally bend at the waist....not bending his knees....and put his mouth on the floor to retrieve that piece of dropped freezer pop! Seriously....reach the floor....bend in half! Now that is being flexible!!
When we first arrive in this world we have this chalkboard...this blank chalkboard that people enter into our lives and write one. What do they write...well things like "you are beautiful", "what a great job you are doing", "you think you can do that?", "should you have done better?", "I think that is a crazy idea!", and so on and so on and so on.
The problem is, we take a permenant marker and write over this comments on our chalkboard and they stay with us for the rest of our lives. Unfortunately, the ones we REALLY believe are the negative comments that were written. And truth be known, they were not intended to harm us...probably just the opposite..their intention was to protect us....but none the less we BELIEVE them. So as we take on these limited beliefs we become less and less flexible in what we feel we can do or accomplish.
Get your eraser out and start clearing some of the 'stuff' on your chalkboard. Get introduced and aquainted with the truth that is deep inside of you. We are all individually AMAZING...just clear off that chalkboard and get to know YOU!
Peace and Love, Bobbi
